Deadly Virus (The Trailer) http://t.co/WMrUN6h9
The author says it all on the book cover: "There are things in life that are intrinsic. One of them is to fight for justice and truth. But what if the truth was actually the fruit of terrible secrets and dreadful lies?"
What we read here is a powerful thriller that tries to reveal the truth behind the Swine Flu outbreak. Even though it is a work of fiction, the book was inspired by a real story and is based on historical facts. This certainly is an exciting story mixing mystery, conspiracy and history.
The Story
Jean-Baptiste Duprés was a French Investigative Journalist working in Mexico when the outbreak of the Swine Flu virus began in the country. On 25th April 2009, he decided to give up his work on a high-level drug mexican cartel to start an investigation on the new deadly virus.
Duprés' investigation quickly led him into an unbelievable conspiracy and despite the risks, he eventually discovered what really lies beneath the official truth about H1N1... How far were the pharmaceutical companies, the Spanish Crown, or the Vatican actually involved?
This is his story...
The Historical Context
April 2009. An outbreak of a new strain of influenza commonly referred to as "Swine Flu" infects people in Mexico and other parts of the world. Initial reports suggest that the outbreak started in February due to farming practices at a pig farm.
The new strain is identified as a combination of several different strains of Influenzavirus A, subtype H1N1, including separate strains of this subtype circulating in humans and in pigs.
The World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) express serious concerns that the new strain, which transmits between humans and has had a high mortality rate in the Mexican cases, has the potential to become an influenza pandemic.

"Doctors and patients are being misled about the effectiveness of some drugs because negative trial results are not published, experts have warned. Pharmaceutical companies should be forced to publish all data, not just positive findings."
